ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - REMOTE
Duties
Interact with customers, including site visits, to determine customer needs for power and controls designs.
Perform calculations and trade studies
Model electrical systems in various software platforms
Perform load calculations per NEC requirements using excel and / or SKM PTW and other engineering tools
Determine suitable system architecture
Specify appropriate electrical equipment
Prepare project specifications in CSI format
Perform electrical system analysis including:
Short circuit studies
Coordination studies
Arc flash risk assessments
Understand NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements and implement them in electrical design
Work safely in and around electrical equipment, including energized electrical equipment when necessary
Work with engineers of other trades to obtain necessary information for electrical designs
Convey engineering to electrical designers to efficiently create project plans
Certifications
Professional Engineer license in Michigan and Wisconsin, or the ability to obtain one in a reasonable time, is preferred
Skills & Experience Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of experience as an electrical engineer involved in industrial and commercial power system design
Extensive understanding of NFPA 70, Michigan Part 8, and Wisconsin SPS 316 is necessary
Understanding of industrial electrical systems is required
Extensive experience with SKM PTW is preferred
Qualified for work on low and medium voltage electrical systems is beneficial
Familiar with IEEE electrical standards
Positive experience with customers is required
Effective verbal and written communications skills is necessary
Self-motivated and a reliable work ethic are necessary

ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
This is a full-time position consisting of a mix of field, shop and even office work. The right candidate will be experienced and capable of field service, and able to perform on site control system integration commissioning and startup. In addition, fieldwork will include technical service calls for controls and electrical systems troubleshooting. Ideally, the candidate would be familiar with process instrumentation, PID loop tuning, and PLC systems including Allen Bradley and Modicon. Our clients include hydroelectric generation, water/wastewater, mining, lumber processing and even paper mills.
When not in the field this job will include industrial control panel fabrication and assembly, wiring, and testing.
The perfect candidate will also be skilled in AutoCAD, and able to create and/or modify control system drawings.
Education
Associates degree, or higher, in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Duties
Layout, assembly, wiring, and testing of UL508A/698A control panels
Installation of new controls systems, including modification of existing control systems, power and ground checks, I/O checks, and system commissioning
Perform on-site service calls and remote support of PLC, HMI, and electrical power systems
Skills & Experience Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 programming, troubleshooting, or commissioning PLC-based controls and HMI/SCADA systems
PLCs, primarily Allen Bradley using the following software:

ELECTRICAL DESIGNER
Education
Two year or four year technical degree preferred
Duties
Design commercial and industrial electrical systems for A&E projects (put the "E" in MEP).
Select and specify electrical equipment
Prepare single line & riser diagrams
Make plan view and detail drawings (including drafting)
Develop and improve CAD standards
Perform field work to identify existing conditions and collect data
Design industrial control panels for wiring in our UL508 panel shop.
Prepare schematics and layouts AutoCAD Electrical (2D)
Prepare drafted drawing packages per UL508 and NFPA 79 standards
Select components
Prepare bills of material
Develop and improve CAD standards
Order materials
Other duties may include:
Fabricating / assembling / wiring control panels
Arc flash risk assessment modeling and/or data collection
Electrical power and / or controls troubleshooting
Skills & Experience Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of experience with similar duties
Experience with AutoCAD electrical
Experience with both process control and automation systems is preferred
Experience in water/wastewater and/or electrical utilities is preferred
Qualified for work on low voltage electrical systems is beneficial
Effective verbal and written communications skills is necessary
Self-motivated and a reliable work ethic are necessary
